The arc melted and drop tube processed Cu – 68.5 at. % Co alloy was subjected to differential thermal analysis (DTA). liquidus temperature determined from the DTA curves of melt sample (1664 K) found be close phase diagram estimate 1662 K. In contrast, as a result liquid separation in drop-tube samples, values obtained powders were much lower, mainly because compositions demixed phases varied those parent melt. 850+ μm powder 1632 K, whereas that <38 sieve 1616 This variance due asymmetric nature metastable system.
